Thought I had better start a build thread for this . I recently acquired max old s15 to rebuild It needs a fair bit of work but will be very nice when done Planning to put a genuine vertex Lang kit on it , body Jack the rear to gain about 25mm extra clearance and extend the oem metal arches...

    Bodywork Repair

Very different shops . Sr are a fabrication shop and don’t do bodywork/ paint side of things more rust repairs and panel swaps . Big bear do more bodywork and paint / finishing side of things rather than the involved fabrication works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Wheels

Yeah that should be ok 235/245 . I ran 225 on 8.5 and 9 just to have a bit of stretch for arch clearance . Every tyre brands sidewall is different though so can be very different looks/clearance even in the same sizes . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Will prob want some spacers for a nice fitment maybe 10mm rear 15-20 front . I had to run et20 on a 9 for the front to clear my coilover [emoji1360] Correct pcd yes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Boss v2 kit

Grams stuff we have had has been pretty rubbish , like most reps tbh . Better off spending the extra on the genuine kit and saving 100 hours of messing about making a rep kit nice Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Sr rebuild

I know quite a few running 450hp on stock sr reliably. Really down to the specific engine though and how it’s been treated through its life . Depends what you want from the car ? If you do the forged set up now then you have the headroom in the future when you get bored of the power . Sent...

    Clutch recommendations?

Yeah is a very good clutch for these . Helps with the longevity of the box too as it’s a fairly light clutch . I personally run an os giken but only due to the power level , driven a few s15 with the Nismo and it’s a lovely clutch Sent from Big Bear Kustoms Ltd

    Looking into differentials

The stock diff is a helical item , pretty good for normal conditions . If you want something a bit more track focussed a Nismo 1.5 way gt lsd would be my choice . Very good diff for grip and can be switched to 2 way if you want to
