Full respray cost?

Hey guys

Recently I went to wash my car at a morrison's pressure washer due to the hose pipe ban. After getting half way through washing it I noticed my hands were covered in red anti-climb paint. I traced it back to the pressure washer nozzle and hose.

Unfortunatly as I only noticed half way through it has got onto my car and when I try and get it off it just stains the paint. It managed to get on the spoiler, roof, rear bumper, rear and front quarter on the passenger side, the door and the bonnet. Now i am going through morrison's insurance hopefully but if for some reason i get screwed I was just wondering how much a full respray is likely to cost?

It depends how good you want doing. You could probably get a rough job done for £800, but if you want it immaculate you could easily spend several thousand. You get what you pay for with bodywork.

As said above depends the type of job.
if u want a professional job, the car will be stripped and sprayed.
quick job is mask up and spray. Just got mine back last monday from a fully professional job. 2000 euro it cost
but the finish is brilliant.

unlucky pal, hope you can get it paid for! I'm getting the Mrs car front end resprayed at Auto Mirage in Lytham St.Annes which is round the corner for you. Will let you know how good they are. I do know they restore classic cars and also repary top end motors etc so I'm expecting them to be good.

Yeppers, like anything in life there's the cheaper option of a tape and spray, or the more expensive tear it down and make sure everything gets a touch of paint options. Sucks to hear about you paint though, I hope they work something out for you.

Just shope around, they will range from anything below 1k to 3k for a top job.

I paid 800 for a full respray on a corsa last year, but tbh the job could have been a lot better!

Just shope around, read reviews and make sure you pikc a decent place.

And don't be tempted by House of Kolor (paints) or any of that madness - unless you want to pay a massive premium and build a show car lol!!

Yeah Fruitbooter is spot on... I'd say £1k for a cheap and not so cheerful job. £2k is more like the price range I was quoted (decent job with standard cost paint and quality). £3k+ for lifestylers and trophy hunters :p

Was at Auto Mirage today, and yeah same as everyone else is thinking 2k will get you a very nice job, however if you want to go show good, you are looking at way more.

they are charging me £250 + VAT to respary the bonnet and front body kit on the wife's Swift. I was looking through the album of work and they have done some great stuff, and by the looks of it they have been in business for quite a while, so they have the experience, its a father and son business.

il do a full repaint on your car for around £2000 inc materials! just finished a crx and 1 hell of a rotten mini! But you do get what you pay for in that trade, 2grand would get you a very reasonable job, but look to double that if wanting show finish, also when it comes to colour try to stick to automotive and not specialist, we sell a paint called spectraflair and its £500plus a litre! whereas lesonal, ppg, sikkens, nexa are all a far more few hundred cheaper
