Hi,

I have a S15 Silvia and im thinking about changing my turbo as i hate the amount of lag it has, its just not enjoyable on the street at all.

Current setup is:
HKS 1.2mm head gasket
ARP head studs
Kelford valve springs and retainers
Kelford 266/270 duration, 11mm/11mm lift
Sard 850 injectors
Walbro 500hp fuel pump
Tomei FPR
RaceFab T3 top mount manifold
Garrett GT3082R .83
Turbosmart 38mm wastegate
Front mount intercooler
3" down pipe
3" exhaust with 1 resonator and 1 rear muffler
Power FC

Currently makes 306kw @ 20psi ATW.

Im not getting full boost untill about 5000RPM!!

I basically want the most responsive T3 turbo that will still make around 300kw or less and come on boost at 4000RPM or under. Main reason why i want to stick to T3 is so i dont have to change my manifold and modify everything.

So the two options i thought would be suitable is a Garrett GTX3067r .63 or a GTX3071R .63 ........maybe even a GT3071R .63.

The GTX3067r is really appealing to me but i just cant find any data on the web for people who have used them on a SR20DET.

All opinions and feedback are welcome.

Thanks

Probably a bit late in response...

I ran a GT3082R with a .82 exhaust a/r on a stock head and it was nowhere that laggy, I was getting full boost 1.6 bar around 4.5k rpm. I'd expect your lag is down to your cams. Downsizing the exhaust housing to a .63 will help hugely on a turbo that size. Unless the car is for drag use I wouldn't bother with the huge .82 a/r as it's just too big for a 2.0l. You're best giving Drifter a pm (assuming he still runs the same spec, or even still has the car!! It's been some time since I've been on here :D) as he was running a GTX3071R on a 2.0l with a .63 a/r.
