Heat shield rattle question

I have a bad rattle at high revs, coming from what i think is the turbo heat shield. would it be ok If i took it off and fitted a turbo blanket instead. Or does anything else need covering??.... or is that just a stupid idea lol

ive never had one on any of my 200sx's

most people just cover abs unit and any wiring

My exhaust shield and tubby shield are both off. I've messed about it that area far too much to faff with getting those things on and off everytime lol...


Get it off and bin it!!

het shield isnt needed unless somthing is especially close that may perish with heat but generally in a stock bay it wont do any harm.

i will add that if your running or going to run a stainless manifold i would strongly suggest moving the coil pack amp out the way
