How do you remove E clip on actuator?

HKS Actuator question...

Where to access E clip from? Top or bottom? What tool to use and how?

I don't wanna lose it....

Ive always done mine from the top.

Get a flat bladed screwdriver with a large blade.

Spin the clip around using the screwdriver unitl the gap is facing you.

Then use the big flat blade to push it off, but you must get the screwdriver on dead square or it will just spiun around.

Use a magnet pen, or magnet on the end of a stick and hold it just below the clip.

That way as it falls off the magnet picks it up.

First time I did this it fell onto the floor and was a bugger to find

I normally use a pair of long nose pliers side on to budge it free of the shaft, then just tug at it til it falls into your hand.

Make sure you do all this with the engine cold :wack:

REALLY make sure you don't lose it. There is no Nissan PN for them and it quite difficult to find a replacement that's just the right size. Mine's held on with a paperclip... :wack:
