Has anyone ever taken the covers off their seats?

Mine are damp/ mouldy and I need to get them off.

So far it looks like a ballache!!!

All these metal clips look like a pain to get off and on again

Help?

You cut or bend the old ones off with side cutters and replace them with new rings, you need special pliers for the rings which are about 100 . I have some and may have enough rings to do the seats ( used to be a trimmer ;) ) don't know if that's much use to you , where abouts are you?

Took them all off and gave the cover to the mrs to wash.

Gonna try using the old rings but if not ill just use some copper wire and bend it into shape.

Only did the one half of the seat!

If you struggle to re-use the hog rings then strong cable ties are a good alternative.

I've had to do this before with a pair of BMW Z3 seats, it took ages!
