Radiator Question

will an S14 rad fit the s15.

im assuming they do, but some second opinions would be nice ^^

Someone else asked me this recently. It probably will, but there are two different S14 PNs and neither are the same as the S15...

Ah. Yeah, it was. Lol. Just checked and there are SIX different S14 rads and six S15 rad. ALL are different PNs...

I think I've read somewhere that the S15 rad i thicker. Could be from nissansilvia.com but I might just have dreamed it.

But I bet £1 (low on cash for the moment) that an S14 rad will fit.
Aftermarket ones will.

im looking at a fluidyne rad for cheeps.

but its for a 14. just wanted to make sure.

If its a fluidyne rad it will be an uprated item wont it?
Ive seen a few different rads on S14 :wack:

BUt they all fit.

Id say it will fit an S15. :thumbs:

BTW S14 factory radiator is THICKER than factory S15, strange huh

TDS do a very nice ally radiator,I know cause I got one. It was much thicker than the Calsonic unit I took out,which seemed to be ally as well?

Ive got that rad and its good quality with a good fit, you can even keep the fan cowling although its a tight fit getting it in

I came back from Hockenheim Racetrack here in Germany with a Nistune logfile that shows me 133-137°C Water temperature!!

(I was searching for the reason why my car is running that rich as soon as it is at operating temperature... haha, I found out...)


The last few days I found out some interesting facts:

European S14a with A/C have 25mm radiators and not only the viscous fan...
They have a second fan, an electric type thats mounted directly behind the radiator to cool the A/C radiator and the water radiator.

My 2001 JDM S15 has only the viscous fan and a shocking thin 15mm radiator :down:

WTF has Nissan thougt about it?


What stock radiator do you guys have?
Is there someone with a stock 25mm radiator?
Maybe an ADM S15?
