Radiator temp sensor? Can I use my fan controller sensor to link to my new depo gauge

All in the title really, dont fancy taking the fan controller sensor out to drill and tap a new hole, so can I splice the depo sensor wires straight into the existing one?

the depo gauge just has 2 wires, black and white for their sensor, existing fan controller has red and black, but dont want anything going pop.

problem solved, buying an in line temp adapter to fit the extra sensor
