Spec S Brake Upgrade Question

I've searched the forums and seen some posts saying the Spec R front calipers merely need be bolted on in place of the existing calipers.

Do the Discs or the Master Cylinder need to be upgraded? How about the brake lines? If it is not necessary, what are the gains of replacing each?

I apologise if this exact question has been answered before.

I upgraded my spec s brakes to the 4 pot spec r calipers and it made a huge difference, they go straight on with the larger discs, all I had to do was remove the back plates so the discs would fit! My calipers came with braided lines not sure if the standard lines fit???
