Hello :)

I'm hoping one of my fellow boost brothers can help me out here...
I read that before i take off the cylinder head (car is a JDM spec R) that you need to set the engine so that cylinder 1 is at TDC.
I ***think*** i've got mines set ok but would like someone or a few of you to confirm for me.

Thats obviously the crank pully and this one is the sprockets:

Ive lined up the yellow link with the dot on the inlet sprocket but i was expecting another yellow link to mate up with the dot on the exhaust sprocket :S
Theres only one coloured link on the whole chain :s

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated :)

Thats a good read  bookmarked that one

See what i mean about that chain having two dark links to match up the notches though?
Unless the S15 has a different chain or whatever but surely not

The way I make sure that you have it on TDC number one is to watch the rear (#4) rockers, one side should be opening, the other should be closing. If you have the number 1 valves moving, you are on TDC number 4. Hope that helps. I normally unbolt the sprockets off the cams, and ziptie the chain to make sure you dont upset timing, saves a little bit of time :)
