Manual conversion - S15 Spec S

Hi, has anyone converted their auto recently? Im thinking about it but I want to prepare properly before ordering parts. I know there are a few threads about this here but they're quite old so I thought I'll ask again as some new stuff may have come out.

Is it better to get a 5 speed or 6 speed? Asking as I heard 6spd has a dualmass flywheel and 5spd has singlemass. Maybe there is some way to get a custom single for a 6speed? What would be the best transmission/flywheel/clutch combo for daily driving?

Also what parts do I need to get. Maybe someone has a list ready. Thanks in advance

Hey Sally, I am no expert but I bought my S15 with an RB25 gearbox. I have not driven one with a stock box but the RB25 one is good. They are a bit hard to find these days but it is a popular route. Good for holding quite a bit of power over the stock 5-6 speed.

I am in the process of putting in a new SR20det with another RB25 trans. You are able to keep SR flywheel and clutch. Can get a bit interesting when looking into the Pilot Bushing. Depends on the thickness of the adapter plate if that needs to be swapped out but not too complicated of a swap and keeping it in the Nissan family.
