hey all i posted this on sxoc and they told me to come here for advice i am currently on a search for an s15 spotted a few but seen a real nice one with this company. engine oil viscosities - what do you use?
Ok guys - what oil weight do you use? The manual states 10-30W. I'm currently using 10-60 Castrol formula R (Now called EDGE). I'm wondering whether I should switch to a grade closer to the manufacturer's spec. What do you think?- I-nearly-bought-a-batty

Tuning factory ECU
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I was wondering if the factory ECU can be programmed/remapped without any interceptors or stuff. I know the Nissan ECU's are generally tamper proof but I'm pretty sure there was a bloke in Aus who had cracked the CA18 ECU. Just wondering if there was...- paulphot

lowering springs
I've been looking at my car and think the gap in the arches needs to decrease a little, i'm thinking of lowering it. I have the full tein coilovers on my other car and dont want to go that far with the s15, What i'm wondering is does anybody know if i can get a good quality lowering spring kit... -

De-catting
If you run a de-cat pipe on your S-15 will it fail the mot? i ask this because irrespective of a 300ZX age, when i took that to a garage they had to test it as a non cat equiped car because they have not details on the emmisions for that type. just wondering if it was the same for one of these?- Tethis
