Is it a must? if country is hot? and occasionally playing with sliding only?

what do u think abt HPI radiators?

thanks

TBH if you're doing any sliding, it will start to overheat soon. I can imagine that in a hot country this will be even worse.

The stock rads ok for a stock car used for normal use, but start upping the power or driving it heavy i.e on tracker or drifting and its well advised to uprate. and ditch the viscous fan at the same time as it gay.

I've just fitted a koyo rad but any thick alloy rad will do:thumbs:

Yes, yes like all the guys advise... esp for hot country and if you're drifting low speed or donuts etc (no wind cooling effect) :thumbs:

The other important mod for hot weather and drifting is oil cooler... should get this as a priority - for me it was more so than thicker rad!!

I would seriously consider fitting an oil cooler as well if you are doing drifting

guys what is the difference between the 1 core & 2 core radiators? i have google it. and it came to said 2 core have greater surface contact which i dont really understand.. but what i know is they said 2 core are better than 1. the funny thing is i saw radiator price for
HPI = $400+ (2core)
Yashio = $800+ (2core)
ARC = $700+ (1 core) <-- why it cost must more expensive?

With Yashio and Arc you are also paying for the name. I doubt there will be much difference in quality so id go for the HPI as long as its an S14/S15 fitment.

Koyo are very good after market radiators with good fitment. I personally chose a Greddy/Trust because of quality(welds are excellent) and I can still retain the stock fan shroud

Koyo are good, cheaper than ARC and Yoshio but good never the less.

As far as makes go you will not go wrong with any top JDM make

ARC
Trust/Greddy
Koyo

Spoilt for choice really. ARC are by far the most expensive.

They are all pretty much the same mate - as Jez said, the price difference is for the name. If it's 50mm+ and alloy, you can't really go wrong :)

^^That's just my opinion of course.

Most of us in the UK with uprated rads have Apex Performance rads that cost £100 when the company do a groupbuy on them. I've not heard complaints of any problems with them at all in any respect. :)

I have a Koyo Copper radiator and the stock clutch fan, my car has never been hot even after staying on the track for 10+ minutes at a time.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean servicing items?
