S15 air vents - so frickin awkward!

I've had one air vent in my S15 that has been floppy for ages. So struck lucky got an air vent on eBay for a tenner. Then the trauma began.

What grade A awkward hoors of things they are. Couldn't get the old one out. So ended up trying to fix the existing one in situ, using the other vent as parts.

Still not happy with it.

They just pop out dude . Metal clip top and bottom and pull it out . Can be a bit fiddly but should be able to remove them

There is a guide on here somewhere, use a flat head screw driver top and bottom to push metal clips in then pull forward. Just be careful not to bend the clips back on themselves with the screwdriver on the way in

Cheers guys, tried that. But wasn't getting anywhere and felt that anymore force would mark my dash

Whack some masking tape on the dash and around the driver should stop it marking if it does mark should be able to even it out with a bit of heat so long as it doesn't crack/cut

No worries dude . Which ones are you trying to remove ? The centre ones can be got to from the rear

Pretty sure you can get to the back of them through either the glove box or stereo area my dash is out of the car ATM will see if I can get some pics later
