heres a c-west widebody kit we supplied to a uk customer a couple months ago not bad job i think hes done quite a smooth kit

There have been a few S15s with c-west and vertex lang widebody kit in Singapore since some 3 years ago.

They look much better in real as the wide asses look really good. Personally I would prefer the c-west kit w/o front and rear c-west bumpers. Keep the stock rear bumper and go for the carbon diffuser while keep the nissan optional front bumper and add carnads.

But the biggest barrier for me to do so is that I cannot accept cutting and rewielding the rear fenders to accomodate the 50mm wider FRP wide fenders on each side. For fix head coupe, the rear fenders are welded to the roof and unlike front fenders that are just bolted on!!! So, once a wide body....it must always remain a wide body even when the trend fades away later.

i forget the price now the customer lives in the uk and we did it at a good price was about ?1950 including vat and postage it was a kit we had laying about for ages and taking up valuble space so gave him a good deal it should cost more,

i dont know if the rims are 19s or not the customer just sent me the pics i posted and a email to say thank you very much

The Cwest GT wide bodykit reuses your standard rear bar. The wider rear arches just overlaps to the standard rear bar.

But I gotta agree to what you're saying, once you go widebody, there's no going back.

Hi just spotted my car above on this site so thought I would register and fill in any questions.The kit is superb and fits like a glove Invo-Tec where I got it from were excellent and i would recommend them,the wheels are 20" and 10" 285/25/20 on rear 8.5" 245/30/20 on front and are from Wheelmania in Rochdale,UK,as for cutting away the archer I just cut sliced them upwards then bent the excess up into the inner arch took no longer than an hour to do both sides.Any more questions ask away will answer when I can.Glad you like it thanks for the comments.

Ye fitted it myself,the C-west kit is absolutely brilliant it fits perfectly I only had to fit a bracket off the original bumper to the C-West one and the cutting out of the rear arches which is a bit of a worry when you do the first cut but the end result is well worth it,slicing it and bending it up I thought was the best way to do it as it keeps all the integrity between the inner and outer arches.

Kinda tempted to do something similar myself as I think that a stock S15 lacks some width. But not on my current S15. I'll sell my current one and buy a new one if I ever go through with it.

Rears are as stock but the fronts took some work, cause of the size of the wheels I decided to leave out the arch liners and completely cover it with underseal just need to make a plate to go at rear of arch to stop crap being thrown down towards the door area,when its done will post some pics lots of hammering on inner arch to stop the wheel rubbing on full lock but if you take your time it looks ok.

The S15s that did wide body conversion I came accross had to cut the rear wheel arch lip off by some 1.5" to accomodate wider track on tyres that would otherwise hit the arch when the suspension retracts.
That means that the rear inner arch will be exposed after the outer arch lip cut and welding will be required to close up the exposed portion.

I had the chance to place my hand into the rear wheel arch to feel the contour of the Garage Defend S15 that had widebody on it during a recent car show. I could feel weldings definitely.

Since you did all work yourself, it would be great that you can tell us if it were necessary to go throught welding after cutting the wheel arch?

If I understand your earlier post correctly, you only had to slice the rear outer wheel arch lip into a few sections (cut depth?) and then bend the sliced sections upwards and inwards into the wheelwell to clear the wider track required for the new wheels and rear fenders to go onto the car.

You are right, as you reach the top of the arch you need to slice deeper about 50-60mm the slices I did were about 20mm apart and there were lots of them they are then fastened to the inner arch with screws to keep the integrity of the arches good finally spray with lots of underseal to keep the water out,next time I have the rear wheel off I will post a pic of the work I have done.I guess welding would have been an option but at the time my tig welder was not working only had a stick welder which wouldn't go down to a low enough current for the thin metal used in bodywork.By slicing the wing it still retains the original spot welds used in production to hold inner/outer together so there is no way they can come apart.It sailed through an MOT a couple of weeks ago at RC Development,well after they put the original map in to pass emmisions test,so I am pleased that they think its good enough and they also loved the car quite a head turner was there remark.
