Went to Japshow at Santa Pod on sunday and took the car up the strip
The car is currently boosting to 0.7bar, has a cone filter and a 3" catback. Apart from that it's stock as far as im aware. My best run was a 14.7 @97mph, which to me sounds pretty slow as i got a 14.6 in my astra turbo which was only 219bhp. I was launching well with no wheelspin.
What times have everybody else got?

Well with just cone filter (is it in an enclosed box, to keep it cool?) and big exhaust you will realistically be loosing power.

They are only 247bhp as standard when brand new, so coupled together with age and sucking hot air in its probably about right!

Its an Apexi filter sitting in the bottom half of the airbox so it gets some air. You reckon the airbox would make any difference? What boost do they run standard? As i was told its 0.5 bar and i'm running 0.7bar now with my manual boost controller

After going up the strip twice i abandoned it on the grass by the show n shine lol. Then had one final run later in the day :D wouldve done more runs but its soooo boring queueing haha. Got soms pics of yours btw :)

Yeah the ques were massive wern't they I think that's why a lot go Saturday to run. I only saw your car pull in and in the que behind the fence near the start was going to come say hi. Stock boost is .5 in 1st and 2nd I believe after that its .7 I'd love to see what mine runs or even what power it makes

Doesn't really matter what air filter setup you have the gain and lose are small you won't notice it. Induction kits sound better that's about it.

I thought with turbo engines induction kits make a difference same as a free flow exhaust?

On a standard car they do not help, they hinder. After years of fitting induction kits to scoobies and remapping them, its prominent that induction kits allow alot more heat soak into them, this was shown by the air intake temperatures increasing. And hot air causes worse combustion.
BUT once in a cool box or in the wing they do allow alot more airflow and when increasing boost etc you need more air than a standard air box can filter.

Plus as said they sound cool, but I would recommend enclosing it in a cold air box, and feeding it some nice cold air from the front bumper/wig area.

Back to 1/4 miles times, I was reading that 300bhp S15's running 1.1boost run 13-13.5 secs. With terminal speeds of 112! So your time sounds about right!

Best I've managed to run a 1/4 mile in was 13.9, car is sitting at about 280bhp. In my opinion the S15's aren't fantastic at drag racing, a lot of people continually prodded me expecting the car to be quicker than it was, but I had issues with launching, I think had I not been on brand new tyres I might have been able to run quicker. Was getting outpaced by a Seat running 270bhp which was a tad embarrassing but meh. He can't go sideways easily :)

@S15_SAM - In regards to cool boxes, are you talking about just bolting thermal insulation plate around the cone? I was considering doing this, do you feel it is worth it? Also cold air feed, just a big piece of tubing from a gap in the bumper to the cone? (Sorry for OT)

It needs to be a fairly large enclosed box to make it worth while, a few guys on here have made one up! Boxing around the filter and covering the top too!

Then as you say just get some big flexi tubes from behind the bumper. And feed them up to the filter!
