So for those of you who don't know me I have always been a fan of JDM cars. The S15 was a "love at first sight" thing but I knew I could never afford/insure one so I bought my 1st car, a 02' Toyota Corolla and ditched it after 9 months for a 00' Toyota Levin and absolutely loved it. Had that for 4 years before selling up last April


My brother had bought a 99' Nissan Silvia S15 Spec S 3 years ago (I suspect he was jealous of my car) but only used it as a daily and never took care of it really! The opportunity to take it came when he decided to move to the States last year. I offered to swap my Levin for the S15 so he could drive/sell it for much needed money and surprisingly he said yes!


So here it stood while the brother had it:

Once I got my hands on it, the confirmation money was taken from the bank and my spending spree began!


First thing first, clean the car from top to bottom(I should mention here I have a serious cleaning problem!)


-I began by pulling apart and cleaning everything! (And I mean everything!)

Found some cool JDM Radio aerials under the seats which have 2 antennas that go on either side of the car!

Had a very loose belt buckle too so decided to investigate!

Took everything apart to clean moss in cracks/replace broken clips/replace missing screws etc...

The Result:

Cleaned lights (Clean on top / Dirty on bottom)

One thing that needed upgrading first was the wheels (standard wheels look lost under the arches)

Found a set of decent Rota Torques with tyres for sale so went and bought them. Only problem was it was a 800km round trip in the Levin with 4 18"s crammed in the booth/back seat.

So with the wheels in place I decided it was time to change the "Monster Truck" look and lower it. Decided to go with the Driftworks Handling Pack and upgrade everything while I was under the car:

So I got to work:

Haha yes alot of patience is required and I found out the hard way that willpower is required too (wanted to give up in the middle of it!)

So I decided I wanted to give the car the "Factory look" which mean't sourcing the rather expensive aero front bumper and spats to complete it...after months of patience and searching I finally got both with thanks to a local lad for the spats and BANKO on here for the bumper..

When the bumper arrived, I instantly went about fitting it!

Over the moon so I was, thanks again BANKO :thumbs:

Almost up to date with the car build...I decided I wanted to go BIG with the wheels so I sold the Rota's, tailights, a few spare exhausts, both my arms and 3 legs to be able to buy some Work wheels

It has been 4 months since I ordered them and haven't heard anything yet but I'm waiting patiently

Which one did you order mate, Meisters would be the best choice imo.....surrentely with the factory aero kit bud.

I haven't told anyone what wheels they are yet but like you said, they will go well with the Aero :thumbs:

Also undecided whether to do a 'centre spoiler delete' and de-badge or leave as is...I suppose having the new wheels on the car would help that decision!

In an earlier message you've said you made your own rubber seal for your rear window.
Care to make another one poir moi? :-D
