Project Hilux - stage two complete

As some of you might know, I bought a Hilux the other month as a second vehicle and daily drive. Anyone who has sat in a Hilux will tell you that it is somewhat basic... Mine was no different. Couple that with a knackered bench seat and something needed doing. Got myself and entire set of...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

As this is probably one of the last days that many people will be online until after the New Year, I'd like to take this opportunity on behalf of the S15OC admin team to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Many thanks for joining and supporting us at this early stage of the...

    Loose and twitchy suspension

I've notice over the last couple of days that my suspension hasn't felt right. I thought at first that my tyres were down, but they were fine. They've got plenty of rubber too. This morning its much more noticable. The car feels wallowy and twitchy. It feels as though the back end is going to...

    Where are you?

You may not be aware of it, but this is a worldwide club! As such, it would be very helpful if you could fill-in your location in your Profile. This will help when answered location specific questions, such as model information. An example of this is the difference between JDM, NZDM and ADM...

    Engine Oils

There is a lot of speculation and argument over which is the best oil and how frequently should you change it. The SXOC have been conducting tests on oil analysis for the past year. Samples have been taken of a variety of different oils after changes and send off to the analysis lab which Ford...

    Slight hesitation on WOT

I'm getting a slight hesitation at around 4500rpm in 5th and boost is around 15psi. This happens on WOT. Doesn't seem to do it in 6th (well, not that I notice). Could this be mild fuel cut or a coilpack, do you think? Standard BB turbo. Actuator replaced by an adjustable one. As far as I can...

    Toyota Hilux

Looking into getting an old Toyota Hilux pickup (Ute to you Aussies :p ) as a second vehicle to keep the mileage down on the 15. Anyone had any experience with these and got any buying advice. Please don't suggest a 4x4, cos I can't stand them and prefer the flexibility of the flat bed. I...

    Overfuelling at Idle

I've got major overfuelling at idle (can smell it). Got a Z32 AFM fitted and managed via an Emanage. There's no adjustment on the map between 0 and 2500 rpm (besides the Emanage auto-config for the Z32). Its quite bad and causes an rpm drop to around 500 rpm and will frequently stall when...
