A drive in the mountains in Australia (QLD)

Went for a great drive this afternoon - there's a huge mountain road near my house, takes you up to a lookout and then across the range until the road turns dirt. I have pics of the lookout, but it won't upload for whatever reason.

Check out the road ridging you have to dodge. Not good for low profile tyres! Thank god for ABS on the pic below, or I would have smacked that at an undisclosed speed.

Yeah the server's been laggy all day.
This is called Herveys Range Road, it's just outside of Townsville, QLD Australia.
Pretty typical oz scenery though! Absolutely great drive on the way up.

it's a green to purple harlequin, but both shots were taken at the same time of day. It goes from a really really deep purple to a strong gold!

Sad fact #1 - bonnet & skirts need repainting. Donations pls.
