Where is this?? I have just got a Yashio Digital water temp sensor thingy and i need to plug it into the consult port... is it in the fuse box?

no no sorry, Thats not what i meant.. i meant i didnt think the plug was something people checked for.. as i'll be honest Iv never heard of this until yesterday. Whats it actually for? Im presuming its an output from the ECU to allow gauges etc like the yashio one to read from it? However.. im sure Nissan didnt design it for that purpose?

Sorry Nicely lol for the record iv used the Useful threads every time iv attempted to do something to my car from Oil change (no joke.. only did my first oil change this weekend past.. ever! I popped my Oil Change cherry and got my hands all dirty :p So easy to do though!!) to fitting the ARB to even taking the dash apart lmao!

It's Nissan's diagnostics port. It's what they plug into to tell their Renault mechanics that the engine needs an oil change... :p

You can also use it to monitor the engine figures. The Datascan software mentioned in that thread, for example.
