I took the oppertunity on Saturday morning to exit the M1 southbound at junc 15a and see where would be a good place to meet people travelling from that direction. I assume some people will be?
Anyway - there seem to be two obvious options. The first is to meet AT the junction, there are services there just as you slip off the M1. This would be a fairly easy option but it means that people travelling from the west will have to over shoot silverstone by some about 15 miles to meet there.
The second option is for the M1 folks to exit at 15a and follow the A43 until they are nearly at Silverstone. There is a service station at Towcester but it is on the wrong side of the duel carriageway. Just before you reach it is a roundabout and instead of going straight on down the A43 you have to take a right there which will allow you rear-access to that service station. This sounds more complicated but it is a little less far for us guys to over-shoot silverstone by.
I guess we need the 4 of us meeting in banbury to decide if we want to go that extra distance to make the meet up easier or if we think it's better meeting closer to Silverstone despite it being a little less simple?
Coments please!
