One of the things I've always done with cars that I've owned is to try and make sure the oil is warmed up before I boot it.

I will get some Defi's fitted in future (oil temp + water temp) but until then, I wanted to get an idea of how long people leave it before they think it's safe to put your foot down?

Obviously, outdoor temp comes into play so let's just say an average day in not so sunny England - 16 to 18 deg c.

I'll bear this in mind when I get the Defi's fitted.

Until then it looks like 5 to 10 mins of driving will do.
