Interior Dome Light

Morning guys, just a quick one. My interior dome light (and other interior lights) do not come on when the door is opened (but come on if manually switched one) also the car doesnt beep when the engine is off and the lights are on and I open the door. Any ideas where to start to look to trouble shoot? I found the switch on the drivers side and that moves freely.

Is it plugged in? And have you checked your fuses?

Yep, the light works when I flick the switch to "on" but If i put it on the "on if door is open" it doesnt come on. Yeah all fuses are present and correct

Sounds like your door shut sensor then. Do you get the door open red light on the dash?

Yes I just checked

It will be a fault in your dial cluster (unified meter control unit, in Nissan speak) if the switches are working ok.

How would I go about testing/fixing that?
