had this same problem happen to me recently. had the copper pipe pressure tested and it was leaking at a weld. i think it was the inlet one to the turbo. the mechanic replaced it with a new one from nissan. cost about $150 aus for the pipe and two hours labor.

They asked a supplier about replacing it with a braided line but he said this particular one wouldnt work because of the shape and it would still need a pipe end on it or something. Dont know if this guy knew what he was talking about tho.

He didn't. Replaced both my turbo water feeds with braided hoses at the weekend. The hoses have the special banjo connectors. They even came with non-banjo washers, so no twisting, which is what usually happens with the little feckers...

thanks for the info. if it goes again ill definately go the braided lines then.
was this a specific sr20 braided lines kit you fitted or did you get it made up?

They're made up for our major 200SX parts supplier. Would imagine you would be able to get hold of them no probs in Oz. They were S14 hoses, but no prob fitting a BB turbo...
