ook my silvia on the student gumball when on my way home this happend!! dont buy cheap rear tyres just because your going to kill them in a event. (should of stuck with my falkens but didnt want to ruin them)

wasnt hurt at all and no one else was involved.

then found this in Mr henners shed so i bit his hand off as i loved my old rx7.
thougth screw it be interesting totransfer the sr20det engine into the fd, ino ino its not a rx7 anymore but i want to just do it for fun and then after a year i will 20b it.

the Advans off the silvia fitted perfectly on the FD! and my steering wheel!

finished one arm today! took 3 hours to make the ball joint!
well i when to elis steel to get some 20mm dia high tensile steel tube, they wanted 25 quid for 300mm ripoffs!!!
so i used some initiative and whent to swansea fastners and bought 2 high tensile steel bolts! and me and greg used the leath to machine it!
all we need to do now is work out where i want the arm to work out where the plate needs to go to mount the rollbar drop link, so all i need to do is fit it to the car!
here are some pics!

arms finished bar the roll bar droplink mount, however im changing the droplink to a male and female rod ends for less play and better connection.
just quickly sprayed a bit of the arm a nice shade of blue so once the final welds are done ill spray them that blue.

had to redesign the arms because i forgot to take into account the 30 degree angle as we thought we could get away with our ball joint angle. so now the eng angle + 30 degrees. and the hubs are now back to normal!!!
my shock is only angled forward by 2.6 degree and i have given my font wheels 1 degree negative camber for that extra front end grip!

well!! what a ****eety day yesterday! the weather was crap!!! and me and binnie had to pig out in the rain to get the car on the trailor and up to buffys!!!

my fuel lines came today!! 3m of blue cotton braided hose for 15 quid!!!
demontweeks are good somtimes!

Cheers man, I have had the car in a few of my friends units but now its in my garage, i cant take credit for the welding as i got my mate to do it as he is better at it than me lol, But yes im a design engineer for aston martin. (trying to blag some brakes atm but thet aint having none of it)

Havent done much work on it the last half of last year or this year as of yet. but there isnt that much left to get done.

I need to.

Lower the engine/subframe (worked out my roll centre hight and its a bit high)

Connect the coolent/heater hoses

Finish the wiring

Custom Propshaft

Custom Exhaust

then she should be all good. :D

Fantastic project Tooley :notworthy: Dan in DB power might be able to get the brakes for you.... I think Evilchap has Aston Martin calipers on his and one of the Irish lads on SXOC (Sniffy) has a set of Porsche Cayeene / Audi Q7 calipers on the front of his S15 and both got lads them through Dan as far as I know

Jesus, they just throw them away  If you come across more than one pair give me a PM

The brembo's are stupidly expensive but from what I've heard they're well worth the expense!!
