Hello everyone, I am a 27 year old graphics designer from Auckland, and I am a keen Nissan Silvia enthusiast, especially the beautiful S15's. I found your club forums while searching google for advice on a auto to manual conversion on the 1999 spec S I have recently purchased, for a very cheap price! So I read through a few threads on your forums, and discovered what a brilliant community this is, and since we all share a passion for S15's, I figured I'd get along with you guys just fine
Apart from cars, I love playing video games (just finished Bioshock Infinite), I am a drummer in a band called Escape, I keep and breed tropical fish and I enjoy snow boarding. I enjoy doing art, but since I do graphic design for a living, I kind of get my fill by simply going to work.
Now I have had a bit of a history with the Nissan Silvia, and this Spec S would be my fourth Silvia. My first was a 1996 S14 Q's, which I spent quite some time and money on. It started life as a standard S14, but it turned into a SR20DE+t s14.5 after I rebuilt the engine and bolted some turbo-y stuff to it, as well as some S15 headlights and panels to the front. Sadly, the car got stolen out of my driveway, on the back of a tow truck. So anyway, the day I lost it, it looked like this:

So after the loss of the S14, I got my insurance payout (which was far less than what I have spent on it!) and bought a 1999 S15 Spec S manual:

I also owned a 180sx, which I was going to turn into a drift car, but I never got much futher than stripping it down a bare shell. In 2010 I went on a trip to the US, and to pay the debt off I eventually ended up selling both the S15 and the 180sx. However, recently I have finished paying off all my debt, so I decided I can afford to buy a new car and get rid of the cheap Sentra I was driving.
So I found this white S15 online, and bought it. Flew down to Wellington and drove it home to Auckland, which is an 8 hour drive. This car is absolutely immaculate, no dings, scratches or any blemishes at all. Only done 120,000 km's, no mechanical faults and it only cost me $8000. I honestly couldn't be happier, except for the fact that it's automatic. But for that price I really can't complain.

I have big plans for this car, first step is a manual conversion, then I will tackle the suspension and brakes, and finally I will build another SR20DE+t for it, and then I'll top it off with aesthetics.
So, yeah I figured I should probably join a decent community for advice, and chit chat. I hope to also become a asset to these forums
