I have recently purchased a Nismo 2-Way LSD Diff for my S15, already in an S15 Casing etc. but i'd like to do an oil change before fitting it to the car.

Now what oil is recommended for the Nismo 2-way? i havent found much info

-Thanks

Thanks for the reply Chris! Looking on the Nismo Site, they list a Nismo (Motul) Oil with a 75W/140 Viscosity Grade.
http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/lsd/gt.html

Emailed Opie and they again suggested the 75W/140 Fully Synthetic and list a whole host of of options.

I have been very impressed with the Fuchs oil i run in my engine, and swapped to Fuchs gearbox oil on my last transmission oil change and found it way better than my previous Redline stuff (gearbox smoother and quieter) so im tempted to go with the FUCHS TITAN SINTOPOID LS SAE 75W-140 synthetic gear oil

but with do you go away from what Nismo suggest/probably developed alongside Motul.....hmmmm.....

Motul GEAR Competition 75W-140 Racing lubricant for limited slip differential.

I run Fuchs in my engine too, have done for years and wouldn't use anything else tbh.
Is a choice for you to make, I'm sure it will be fine so long as it's fully synthetic and the correct sae( which it obviously is) Thanks for the links btw tempted to whack that in mine come service time, looks like top notch stuff! I don't think it will be much of a gamble really mate, Fuchs stuff in general is too quality !

Yeah as long as it's the correct grade i dont suppose you can go wrong! I went with the Fuchs, let's see how it performs. the Nismo diff feels lovely and tight when moved by hand, less than 3000kms on it, and it shows.

Now, oil capacity of the diff - i have found this thread:
http://forum.s15oc.com/threads/1543-diff-oil?p=19794#post19794

which lists:

Helical Diff
1.2-1.4 litres

This sound about right?

I changed the diff oil in the oem diff about a year ago, for Redline, but couldn't remember the capacity! lol

Yes will do Chris, hopefully have her back on the road end of next week.
