What was the Nissan and Autech relationship?
I know that Autech made some Nissan cars, like the Autech Spec-S S15, S15 Varietta, 4-door Skyline R33GTR and so on.

Was Autech the same as AMG is for Mercedes?

Or do they just take Nissan cars and rebuild them? I would think so if not the Varietta would have existed. Building a hard-roof cab isn't a small project. and the Autech versions seems to be made in pretty large numbers for a aftermarket tuner company. So these things have led me to beliave that Autech is or has been incorporated in Nissan.

Does anyone know anything regarding this?

The relationship has to be reasonably close, as Autech models are included in FAST...
OK. I think i remember seeing Autech stickers, aswell as Nismo ones in the FAST software.

Is Autech owned by Nissan or is it an independant company?
Where the Autech models sold by official Nissan dealers?

Any reason for the interest, or just curious ??
There was a Stagea M35 registered in Sweden recently. And the owner of that car also has a Stagea 250RS with the RB25DET engine, which is waiting to get a R34 front fitted to it :) . That started my curiosity of what Autech really was. :)
