Hi guys, I'm currently looking into buying a Nissan S15 Spec R which has an automatic transmission for $13000 with 159000km on the clock, the car is mint and near factory stock (exhaust and KN panel filter), is this a bad deal and also I've been informed there's an OD (Over Drive?) and power mode button on the automatic transmission, does either one of those make the transmission shift at high rpm or redline?

That's a preety good price for an unmolested auto. The gearbox's are strong and yes the power button makes the gears stay longer in the higher rev range before shifting..The OD button means you use the 4th gear..off means you use just 3

Hi,

I have the same Spec R come with Automatic Transmission. Wondering how much horsepower it will hold before it slips.

Thinking to convert it to manual transmission if it holds only below 300whp.

Yes the spec R came with an auto box, and other minor differences such as smaller injectors and lower tune.

Yes. My spec R came with automatic transmission. Like CMR said, there are some minor differences.

Another question. Anyone using a high stall torque converter and manual valve body on their auto s15?

Would like to know the pros and cons
