S15 question (newbie)

Hi all,
I am new to s15 ownership and have some general queries.

does anyone know what this plug is for in an Australian Delivered Model 2001 S15?
Its on the drivers side of the engine on the radiator fan shroud/casing near the battery. Its a grey plug,i saw that it was unplugged and plugged it back in.. Was wondering if it was unplugged for a purpose by the previous owner.

Thanks for that, I was hoping it was something less important, at first I thought it was a plug for the main radiator fan clutch or the AC fan.
