I have been having problems filling up my car and went to root around the cap area and found this (below) inside. It looks damaged and was wedged into the fuel filler neck. Not a clue what it is, anyone know?

It most likely is then. It was lodged sideways at the bottom of the filler neck. It took me 10 minutes to put £20's worth. I'll refit it tomorrow.

Yeah it’s a fuel restrictor. They are required to be fitted to all JDM imports to pass the ESVA/SVA test when being registered in the country.

Don't bother putting it back in mate. You don't need it, just something for the ESVA.

I didn't bother fitting it and I can now fill the car up fine. Cheers for the info, guys.
