gear knob is a bit loose on the thread

hi guys..
i got Trust gearknob ones and it seems that its loosing a bit on the thread..
how do i fix this to make it fit tight?

When i fitted my yashio factory gear knob I put some thread lock on it so it wouldnt loosen and hasnt moved since fitting it..its like a glue for nuts and bolts to stop them loosening..

but you still can take your gearknob out if you'd like to right?

Putting threadlock on will make it very hard to get the knob off if you need to.

Yep I can still get it back off if I need to but not very easily!!Im a mechanic and use it in work so I know what its like,you dont have to put much on,just a few drops..

wrap some ptfe tape round the thread before fitting it, that should tighten it up nicely :thumbs:

will try some pfte tape..
what about masking tape?
lol..would that work?

masking tape???? no that wouldnt work at all!!! ptfe tape found at all good plumbers merchants. its designed to make threads waterproof, but has the added benifit of making the fit tighter too

i will go to the shop and get the teflon tape tomorrow..

no worries, it will be easier to get off aswell and to refit, just replace the tape!
