The UK’s leading Japanese Car Club Show since 1991
The Japanese Auto Extravaganza Show, also known affectionately as JAE, is a must go to event in the calendar if you own a Japanese vehicle or are simply a fan. The dates for JAE this year are the 12th & 15th September with the venue being Wicksteed Park in Kettering. With its open green fields, lake, fun-fairs and permanent amenities Wicksteed Park provides a venue offering something special and extraordinary not seen at other shows.
Japanese Performance Magazine wrote of JAE -
"Make the trip to JAE and spend time mooching around the masses of cars that make up the UK’s largest collection of Japanese Car Clubs - from browsing trade stands, mixing with likeminded owners and enjoying the facilities of such a fantastic venue it soon means you are bitten by the JAE bug and don’t want to leave!"
Banzai Magazine wrote of JAE - "For the team here at Banzai, JAE is an integral part of the Japanese tuning scene. Every year it’s one of the first dates booked into our diaries, and is one of the events we most look forward to. The leading specialists are there, as are the latest show cars. It’s also family friendly, what more could you ask for?"
With over 80 Japanese Car Clubs now in regular attendance the demand for camping space has increased and for 2013 we now have to expand into further areas of Wicksteed Park meaning JAE keeps its unique stance of enjoying year on year growth.
Due to customer demand JAE is now operating over four days (previously three) and even if you are not be able to make all four days then don’t despair as we also have day visitor tickets available, if you arrive in a Japanese car and want to park within the venue you are made to feel welcome as we have a dedicated Day Visitor area inside the show where you can display your Japanese car for all to see. Alternatively if you arrive in a non-Japanese car we do provide specific parking for you and this is situated just outside the main gate.
As a Car Club attendee there are a whole host of events at JAE for you to participate in or simply watch and enjoy, events such as the Time Attack Go Karts, 5-a-side football, the numerous activities within the It’s-a-Knockout Competition and the much loved Japanese food eating competition will keep you entertained throughout the day. You will also find a show and shine area where prizes are awarded to the most lovingly presented cars entered directly from the attending Car Clubs.
A massive trade area – now bigger than ever – is on hand for visitors to walk around if you are looking to buy any of the latest car mods, various food vendors are there to cater for you when you are hungry or need refreshments and the Park itself has numerous activities to keep all age groups occupied.
Saturday night at JAE sees an awards ceremony for all the competitions that have taken place and this is always followed by a massive fireworks display staged by our chosen professional pyrotechnics company. Then when the sun goes down you can simply retire to your camping area to enjoy the time with your fellow Club members or simply walk around the venue socialising and making new friends over a drink and barbecue.
All in all JAE is the definitive social Japanese Car Club Show and is a must go to if you are a Japanese car owner or simply a fan of Japanese marques, for further information on JAE please visit our brand new website or our Facebook page, alternatively if you wish to contact us via email then you will find all these details below.
We look forward to welcoming you to JAE,

Had a blast at doing this last year and Darren did the year before. Wasn't to much interest! But if people are up for it again sure we can have a go again.

Went in 2007 when I lived in London when it was a two day show - best show I've been to.

Sorely temped to make the trek across the sea. Not sure about 3 days in a tent though!

Did this in 2011 with Celica Club, was a great show apart from the whole camping thing :wack:

Also, fitting a tent in a Celica was interesting. Might be tempted, but depends on how the car is looking by then.
