y0 dudes, ok just went out in the s15 and everything was fine, came home popped back out again and there is a seriously loud noise coming from somwhere..

sounded like it was a stone in the disc to start with but its like a really loud metal scrappin noise, after a closer look with a mate driving the noise is only coming from inside in the pass foot well (transmission??????.................)

hope not...

em, yeah advice? Needs to get to work tomrrow, car seems to drive ok tho....

Doing it in every gear? Goes away when clutch depressed. i.e. not engaged?

Have you had a visual look around the brakes, underneath etc?

Doing it when i move period, in or outa gear.

even in neutral it made that noise hence why i thought brakes but its pretty silent outside only soooo loud inside it dosnt make sence .. had a look couldnt see anything. Its silent in reverse too....???

Wont be the 'box then, only does it while moving?

Maybe take each wheel off and have a look, i cant think of anything off the top of my head. The loud inside but not outside part threw me.

yeah only when moving.. could it be the pads??? they do look mighty done but wouldnt explain why i cant hear it much from outside...

so eh, yeah look first kids before you post useless rubbish

Haha, ive had this as well with my GF's MR2. She stopped in the middle of a road (estate road) after hearing a horrendous grinding and rubbing noise. Too scared to move it for fear of damaging the car, i had a look underneath and found half a tree!
