speaker cut out. amp problem?

ok guys this has been an issue for a while now have tried fixing it all the time can't figure it out so i'll ask you experts. So one time i cranked up my volume loud in my car and it sort of just stopped like it it blew but not sure what happened. So now when i go to turn the volume up my rear speakers (connected to amp) they have no bass and they cut out as the volume gets high. I've played round with the speakers and they seem to work fine so my guess is somethings wrong with the amp but it still has power light works and everything i've checked fuses, what is it?

When you say you played around with your speakers, did you try others or just fiddled with the current one's ?

xplod 1200w, yea i played around with them hooked them straight to the head unit and they worked fine when going loud.

sorry dude, all i can put that one down to is amps die, through over heating mostly, when you open up the boards and look at the little plastic pots they are usually half melted

I'd say you have blown a frequency module in the amp.
