Ticking noise!!! help vid included.

Bloody SR has a new ticking noise i know they are loud engines but this is odd.
Its done 70k
could it be the hydraulic lifters? need bleeding maybe?
Boost solinoid?
Injectors?
Turbo gasket?
Any thoughts?

I get that exact same noise during startup and after fully warming up it reduces to intermittently especially during stop go traffic. Could be the VTC solenoid or the hydraulic lifters.

sounds like the VCT solenoid to me.

Did it just start doing it? It's kinda hard to tell from the video but it almost sounds like an exhaust leak. If not that then maybe the lifters or the VCT. If it the VCT then it will basically sound just like a diesel.

Well my manifold/ turbo dropped a bolt out the other day! which was when the noise started tbh

I'm betting that's the issue. Get that fixed with a new gasket and you should be gtg.
