WASTEGATE info please!!!

hello all,
im thinking about buying myself a lovely wastegate! whoop!!!!
its a 60mm wastegate, the spring rate is 11.7 & can be adjusted, my first question is about the spring rate, whats it all about??? and what should i aim to have it at, (my car is standard currently)
secondly, will it bolt straight on, will i need any extra parts to fit it? i.e down pipe....& are they easy to fit?!?!

An external wastegate is only useful with a turbo without one (or welded up). If your car is standard, then it will be useless.

Fairly pointless with the standard turbo.

You'll have to get a specific manifold and front pipe (expensive), unless you were wanting to run with a screamer. In which case, you can forget any ambitions you may have of taking it on the track, as you've get pulled off after the first lap for sound levels...

But with a screamer you do get some nice flames shooting out
