y0.

Did a wee search didnt pop up with anything. But yeh, does the S15 have Traction Control? My mate has a Charged Lexus, and without TC it would be a dam handful to say the least, so with 250horses out the back wheels its got me a tad worried lol.

Cheers Folks

nope, no traction control. In the dry, it's not needed, they do put the power down really well.

in the wet though, it's a different story, you have to be a completely different driver. no heavy right foot action. Although i've still got the ****e JDM rear tyres on still, that i keep bloody meanin' to get changed..... i've know in the wet for it to break loose at the top end of 4th before!

Racelogic TC can be got hold of for about ?600... although there's a couple lots on SXoc atm for sub ?500. Apparently, it's extremely good, and completely changes the wet driving experience!

i always thought that when i got mine, being my first RWD car... but as long as you're mentality is in the right place, and you don't go believing you're taniguchi.... then things should be ok!

Best way to keep things controlled is, to think "i just spent ?10k plus on this... i want to keep it in one peice!"

yea, i've never had any near misses in mine... although mine's always had coilovers, i've found in the dry it's quite hard to break the back end loose without clutching it...

obviously, it'll go if you want it too.... but it won't catch you unknowingly in the dry i don't think....if it does, just a little lift off and it catches itself!

know what you mean from escaping the honda scene... as good fun as VTEC is, you won't regret it,... i've not... not once!

I have the racelogic system... unfortunately it is still in the box... haven't had bloody time to do anything with the car for so long. Have a new engine coming in the next few weeks and hopefully am changing jobs so that'll give me some time off to change it all over and do the racelogic too.

I did have racelogic's system on my Z32 that was pushing over 600rwhp. I really was impressed with it... I even drove it once in the snow (which was f***in* stupid)... certainly that in conjunction with driving sensibly makes a big difference... Key thing about the system is the fact you can adjust it to road and driving conditions :)

Thats good to know then.

Yeh iv had 4 honda's now and i think its time for me to move on up, and the ladies love the coupe's lol. Plus its so rare like no one around here will know what the hell it is lol.

I will need some drifting lessons at knockhill tho i think so i dont end up sticking it into a fence but yeh i feel like this will be my final decision.

I dont know if you guys can see this put i'll try post it

You'll get used to the rear end sliding. I know I am. It gets abit scared and exciting the first few times, now it's like a daily routine due to the wet weather. Slideeeee

I've had the rear out a couple of times on mine and my heart was stuck to the windscreen both times . Damn good fun though.

Why don't Honda have any turbo cars. They've not got one :(

i spun out a couple of times and few near miss in the s15, only in wet weather or very wet roads, but saying that they where on standard wheels and racing tires for dry conditions (potenza re-01R).

have not spun out on my new wheels and rubber.

I had all 4 wheel locked two days ago on rainy road overtaking a slow Camry approaching a bottle neck. I was astonished as I thought i would have ABS. Close shave!

Traction control is just plain :ghey: If you can't control it without, don't buy a 250+bhp RWD S15... :p Get a BMW instead... :wack:

Honda have TWO turbo cars to date.

1. Old skool honda city

2. Old skool honda legend

I find that the abs on the s15 kicks in quite early. Sometime killing the fun

In the wet i have seen the back end kick out in 4th, but with crappy P6000's (do not buy these)

If your that scared mate, you should get yourself a cheap RWD car to run around in for a while till you get the hang of the rear end sweeping round. (My dad had a Seirra when i passed my test :D) It's completly different from a FWD car, you will need to change your style dramatically, Dry or Wet.

No point doing a tyre thread. One person's ideal tyre is different to another's. Different climates will also change opinions.

IMO the best tyres in the UK for the S14/S15 are Toyo Proxes, F1s or Falken FK452s. That's my opinion though... :)
