At this stage, it needs to be made clear to those who haven't worked it out, that its going to cost around ?500 in fuel, ferry (cross-channel) and other miscellaneous stuff. That doesn't include your food and drink.

you will also require about 5000 euros for speeding offenses :p ;)

im just gesting, in all seriuosnous (sp) what happens now if you were to be caught speeding has it been changed yet that you now get points on your uk licence i ask as it is very easy to speed over there without actually realising i found as the roads are that much clearer and i thought smother though others might disagree lol

I find its easiest just to stick to the speed limit or the speed of other traffic. And make sure your Snooper isn't visible...

Fook me! That's a bit better

http://www.dfdstorline.com/Infobridge/Default.asp?si=988

Still pricey (the return journey falls under the higher price bracket), but the fare includes a berth and meals :) Works out at ?415 each, which is around what we'd pay to drive, but without the driving (except to the dock and in Sweden).

For those who don't know, Immingham is across the Humber from Hull and Tilbury is on the Thames.

Its important to be aware of this: http://www.dfdstorline.com/Infobridge/Default.asp?si=984

I think you might save a few pennies by going by ferry.
It's only about a 250km (155miles) drive from Gothenburg to Mantorp. Mostly highway.
You wouldn't need to worry about finding places to sleep on the way too

The only downside I see is no cheap booze from the continent :(

There appears to be a load of surcharges which may also be due. I think I'll need to give them a call and ask for an idea of total price including all surcharges. It MAY be cheaper to go to Esbjerg too...
