my other half works for the royal mail,he's seen parcels come through with ?200 customs charges
royal mail has to collect the charges before they can hand it over.

I managed to stay clear of them so far
have you ordered from them before? if you have. Was it custom-free that time?

I'm thinking about ordering some things from them in the future. But if their shipments get stuck in customs I'll have to think about that.
I pay to many taxes as it is. Don't want to pay more

I'm sure you can't. These are from Japan and proper moulded plastic, not FRP. When you're look to pay ?800 for a genuine new moulded Aero front bumper, that's not too bad.
