is it normal to get a strong smell of petrol out of da exhaust when running?

jst wondering is it normal 2 get a strong smell of petrol out of da exhaust when its running as this s my first s15 so im not up 2 d8 with s15.

any advice would be lovely.

its depends on your take of the smell of petrol whilst running... it is nigh on impossible to actually have a smell that is like having your head in a petrol tank.

if you are very worried take the car to someone with AFR equipment and also check for misfire...

and plz dnt tlk lik dis yer..

mine is running rich smells of petrol but that because of the manifold back exaust and no cat along with my bov. You have a bov on yours etc?

I figured that much. Where though?

I spend more time down south than up north & know more tuners around the south aswell. but if you want to be an arse about it, makes no difference to me. Its not my car thats got problems so couldn't really give a fcuk.

i lean running motor actually smells more yukky from the high level of NOx in the exhaust gas..

if you could determine a car was running rich by smell you personally could put the whole wideband 02 business out of trade.. skillz innnit
