Qestion for the New Boy...

hi, im a new boy to this site.
I have few questions about the ratteling noise from the airbag (horn) place in the steering wheel.
My mate has R34 GTR but his one doesnt rattle like mine (They looked same except GTR label).
Does any1 have same problem? and any1 know how to stop it? (Easiest possible way)

Another one is LSD question. I heard that Factory S15R LSDs come with Helical and Viscous.
How do you know which come helical and which come with viscous?

Not sure about the first one, except that my steering airbag doesn't rattle.

Manual transmission SR20DET S15s were fitted with the helical (open) diff. Autos SR20DET and all SR20DEs were fitted with the viscous diff from the S14. The quickest way to identify the helical diff is to jack up the back end of the car (both wheels off the ground unsupported) and turn one wheel. The other one should turn in the opposite direction. If it turns the same way, its a viscous diff.

i just turn the music louder and just drive and u forget about it hehe

tommy,

its the contact between airbag and the horn plate( left and right then a bottom one)
Metal-to-Metal , emove your airbag and stick a doube side tap between them

i had the rattle before and i fixed in Garage R

ask ah ling(stanely) i think he knows

I have the same problem, i just loosly rest my thumb on the seperate airbag part of the wheel and it stops :thumbs:
