Hey guys,
Sorry if these are silly questions, but just a quick one regarding the oil filler hole on the s15's cam cover.
Is the filler hole itself where the oil cap screws in, made from plastic or metal?
Only reason I ask, as you know my plastic filler caps seal gave way and let oil seep out. I have now purchased and fitted an aftermarket Teigwa metal oil cap with brand new seal and fitted it.
However with the new cap fitted, it seems extremely tight now. I only screwed it on gently lol. Is this normal?
or would it be the threads, are they easy to mess up?
Also prior to removing the old cap I did clean the area as much as possible, but if grit/dirt or a piece of the old plastic filler cap were to have dropped into the filler hole, would this be caught by the filter or removed with an oil change?
Just wanted to know for peace of mind really
Regards
Ash
