Well ive wanted an S-body since the first time I saw one about 7 years ago, finally got a few years NCD under my belt so I was I finally in the positions to get one and here she is:
Current spec
-FGK manifold
-Blitz Air filter
-4pot front brakes
-Lowering springs
-split Advans
-smoked rear lights
-Turbo Timer and Vacuum Gauge

The inside of the boot looked like it had just a little bit of rust so i started picking at it.....before you know i had the dremel out and after i got rid of every bit i was left with this

Several coats of galvanizing spray

Primer

Also the battery tray was a bit rusty

The battery wasnt held down at all when i got it so

The boot floor was cracked, bent and it stank as it got wet at some point

So i got a proper bit of wood that fits properly and doesn't bend

Gave it a much needed service

Picked up a few bits-
Pearl rear bumper

Aero skirts and spats

Decided to fit the rear bumper and whilst it was off thought I would paint behind it

I removed the old paint and gave it a coat of white, the bits you can't see were given a layer of stone chip

The number plate light was caked in paint and you could barely see it at night

Replaced the rear brakes as they were well worn lol

Any tangible difference with the stopper? I'm still tossing up whether to get one or not

The pedal definitely feels firmer but not a huge difference

Finally Pulled my finger out and bought some coilovers

Also my car has always been a bit funky going into reverse sometimes so I thought i would change the shifter bush to see if that helped

Which is when i found out it didnt even have one fitted :/

Also gave her a thorough underside clean as have done it for a while

still looking pretty immaculate for a 14 year old car

DET swap is loosely on the cards so watch this space :D

Over the past few months I've been slowly collecting all the spec R bracing

So some of them are off to the powder-coaters.
I'm going to try and put them on one at a time to see what difference it makes.

Another goodie I acquired

Bought some Sound proofing :ghey: :ghey:

I did a spot of rust proofing as I had access with the trim out, The back of the sill is probably the no1 rust area on s-bodys so it would have been stupid not to.
Took what I could back to bare metal then applied several coats of galvanising spray.

There was just a little bit of surface rust there which was dealt with but you can see how it would spread, I highly recommend if you have a car that's been it the country for a while to do a spot of rust prevention in the sills to safeguard your weapon.

Will put some cavity wax in there next

Ah thanks, the past 12 months have been about setting the foundations so hopefully in the next couple of years I can do some proper work and get it looking exactly how I want.
I'll keep an eye out for a build thread from you soon then :)

Do I smell an RB going into this ? :p And yeah I am not very tech savy so my build thread will not be as good as yours but I will do weekly updates :) It will most likely contain a lot of pictures of me washing it. hahah :p
