Yes bud, both the gauge and needle should light up

It does have tiny little bulb in it which is really awkward to extract and replace without breaking it, you'll see what I mean when you take the gauge apart and unclip it from the holder.

I've just ordered the bulb from eBay, if doesn't work I have a greddy boost gauge that I should get my finger out and fit . Thanks for the offer though

The bulb from eBay was the wrong type,but my local dingbro ltd company Found the right bulb for us ,now its in and working 
Glad you got it sorted. What type of bulb is it? I have the part number to get one from nissan but not the bulb type.
