I used to run round 30 psi in my 255 rears but found the middle of the tyre 'sagged', so the outer wdges used to wear at a higher rate than the middle of the tyre.

When I changed my tyres I had the geometry set up properly and have run around 31 psi front and 37 psi rear. The grip has been brilliant and am very happy with tyre wear etc too..
