Hi guys,

I'm at the point of now upgrading the front brake calipers on the Spec-S "Top Banana" and I have two choices. Use s15 front calipers or Skyline GTR/S alu calipers.

However, before I embark on replacing the discs, hoses and calipers I want to be prepared. My question is: Would I need to change the Brake Master Cylinder for this upgrade?

Thanks,
Blinx :)

Not sure if its the BMCs are the same. Have to check...

Performance-wise, the two callipers are virtually the same (if they're R32).

Except the Skylines Alloy ones are lighter, so reduce unsprung weight. I'd got for those if it was me, although i'm happy with the S15 jobbies.

They are two different PNs, however, as stated, it'll be OK. You really only need to change it when you upgrade the rears (e.g Z32 rear brakes).
