Morning guys and girls, here is a question for you.

Was driving home last night and my exhaust began to blow so i assumed it would be a cracked manifold or part of the dump pipe, however upon inspection what i found was that all 5 (!) of the nuts i used to bolt my dump pipe to the turbo had vibrated off! now these were done up tight and with spring washers. have i done something wrong here? are there special nuts i need to use? I have studded the turbo so only require nuts.

Some people also put exhaust repair paste on the threads to help, I've never had problems using locking tabs with exhaust paste

Aerotight lock nuts and spring washers is the best option mate...just make sure you use some copper paste when assembling..it's fit and forget
