Whats different about this picture??

Can anyone spot whats different about this Dial cluster than the ones you normally see in an S15??

The fuel gauge is on empty? Or is it the R/H indicator light is red? Other than that NFI

I had to go and have a look at my car, but I think the redline is higher on the tacho

Ya its from an Autech alright.
Didnt know they revved higher than the Spec r or S.
can someone explain this?
im no tech head but has it something to do with he compression ratio??

With a half decent NA engine the way to get more power it to move the torque up the rev range.
F1 engine don't make huge amounts of torque, they just make it at very high engine speeds so make lots of power.
You do this with valve lift+timing, compression plus optimised induction and exhaust system. Of course the internals have to be strong and light enough otherwise it will fall to pieces.
That is why a 20v 4AGE makes similar power to a standard SR20DE:

Engine Power(@rpm) Torque(@rpm)
SR20DE (S15) 165bhp(6400) 19.2kgm(4800)
20v 4AGE 165bhp(7800) 16.5kgm(5600)
Autech (S15) 200bhp(7200) 21.9kgm(4800)

there is 9k on my cluster............
but it redlines at 7.2krpm :D

Sure JP you dont have to worry about a limiter at all... haha

The autech engine seems very impressive for a n/a engine. anyone ever drive one and also how do they get the power up so high when a spec s is what 160ish!!!

I'd presume so, my S goes to approx 7,200 so its not that much higher than standard.... That the one in Dublin, you gonna buy it???
Na Lad,
I wont be back in Ireland for about another 9 months. If i was at home though its a car id def be looking at gettin

Ya we had about 2 feet of snow for christmas over here,
Tis a bit diiferent from the normal christmas in ireland!
Ya im enjoyin life in Canada so far, life is good over here alrite,
plenty beer and plenty women, what more could you need!!
