hi guys

just wondering if we as a club are going to do any jap shows or drifting events this year ?

as we had a nice new club banner last year and only used it once at D1 :rotfl:
seems a shame not to show it off :wack:

Maybe we could all go over to Sweden :D Its probably closer for you, Topper...
We will have a very good event from Norway cooming to Sweden this year.

www.gatebil.no

I've never been to it before, but people who has gone to Norway for this always come back fully hyped.
There are usually some really sick cars.
First year for Gatebil in Sweden this year. So don't really know how it will be.

There is another event which is more like a trackday which the Swedish Nissan 200SX Owners Group hosts every year called Jap-Meet. only Jap-cars allowed.
www.japmeet.nu

Both these events take place on Mantorp park.

Come on over guys :)

It all depends on how my economy is.
It doesn't look to good right now. But it might get much better when spring comes :)

Well I cant think of a better way to bed in my new S15 than a leasurely drive to sweden   Gotta be more entertaining that meeting in B&Q carpark on a dreary wet sunday afternoon

Other than that, How about organising Stands at:

Santa pods Jap Show (both events)
Japfest (apparently they are restricting the number of Subarus this year!!!! )
JAE Weekender  Normally results in fallin over lots due to alcohol intake
Bubble inn meet is always a good one in the summer for us Midlands owners

let me know if you want to come to Sweden :)

And what type of event you want to attend.

The Gatebil is more like show/party. But it's a whole weekend.

Jap-Meet is a trackday. So only one day and not superfun for people who is not driving on the track.

I personally think that gatebil is the better event as we could apply for a club-stand and advertise the club.
The track is usually filled with supermad cars and owners who are not afraid to use them.

But I don't know if I recommend anyone to drive at this event as from what I've seen, it can get pretty wild, but entertaining to watch :)
Harald200 on this forum works with the Gatebil crew :)

I could look into cheap living if you want to. I have to find something too as I live to far away to go back and forth everyday.

Topper, it'd be easier for you. You could get a ferry from Rosyth or Newcastle to Holland

Sorry, that was from Harwich to Denmark somewhere. Makes it so much worth the money...

Checked the journey from Holland to Sweden, avoiding ferries. One hell of a journey, but one uber-fun drive  I so want to drive over the Oresund Link... :D
